The Northern Circuit is Kilimanjaro’s longest and most scenic route, offering nearly 360° panoramic views and trekking along quiet, rarely visited northern slopes. Its extended schedule provides the most acclimatization time, making it the route with the highest summit success rate. You’ll traverse rainforest, heath, alpine desert, and arctic summit terrain, circle the mountain clockwise, and descend via the Mweka route, experiencing remote wilderness, spectacular landscapes, and diverse ecosystems. This route is highly recommended for climbers seeking a challenging but rewarding adventure.
