Leave the rainforest behind and climb steadily through the heather and moorland zone. The vegetation changes dramatically as you reach the Shira Plateau, one of the largest high-altitude plateaus in the world.
Enjoy incredible views of Mount Meru before reaching Shira 1 Camp for dinner and overnight.

This day plays a key role in acclimatization. Ascend gradually to Lava Tower (4,650 m), known as the “Shark’s Tooth.”
After a rest and lunch at high altitude, descend through the Senecio Forest to Barranco Camp, located in a spectacular valley below the Breach Wall.
Though you sleep at roughly the same elevation as you started, your body benefits from “climb high, sleep low” acclimatization.

A thrilling day begins with the Barranco Wall climb, a steep but non-technical ascent requiring hands for balance. The views of Kibo and the Southern Icefields are outstanding.
After conquering the wall, the trail continues through a series of ridges and valleys before reaching Karanga Camp.
This shorter day aids in rest and acclimatization before your summit push.

Continue upward over rocky ridges toward Barafu Camp, the base camp for the summit.
By this point, you have completed the Southern Circuit, offering panoramic views of the mountain from different angles.
Have an early dinner and rest, preparing for the midnight summit attempt.

Begin your summit attempt between midnight and 2:00 a.m. under a starlit sky. Ascend through volcanic scree toward Stella Point (5,739 m), where you’ll witness a breathtaking sunrise over Africa.
Continue for about an hour along the crater rim to reach Uhuru Peak (5,895 m)—the Roof of Africa!

After celebrating and capturing photos, begin the descent to Barafu Camp for a quick rest and lunch, then continue down to Mweka Camp for the night.
This will be your final evening on the mountain—a time to reflect and celebrate your success.

After breakfast, join your team for a farewell ceremony, celebrating your incredible achievement.
Descend through the lush rainforest, where the trail may be muddy and slippery—gaiters and trekking poles are recommended.
At Mweka Gate, receive your summit certificates before being driven back to Moshi for a well-earned shower, rest, and celebration at your hotel.
