Route details
Our guide and driver will collect you from your hotel in Kigali at 8:30 am to begin your day with a tour of the city.
Following that, you'll head to Musanze, the second-largest town in Rwanda, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the five volcanic mountains known as the Virungas.
Upon arriving in Musanze, you'll have the opportunity to visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, a hub for gorilla conservation and scientific research.

The trek can be quite demanding, lasting up to six hours or more at a relatively high altitude. To ensure you have an enjoyable experience, it's advisable to be in good physical condition.
(We've had individuals as old as 70 successfully participate in gorilla tracking, so it shouldn't pose a problem; just ask your driver guide to arrange a shorter trek for you if needed.)
