The Southern Alps rise like a jagged spine across the South Island, and among their ranks, Mount Haidinger gleams — a summit of pink-grey rock and polished snow, elegant yet demanding. Here, beauty and challenge intertwine on the knife-edge of the Main Divide.

Your journey begins in Wānaka, where preparation turns quickly to adventure. A scenic helicopter flight delivers you to Pioneer Hut, perched high above the Fox Glacier. Days are shaped by weather and mountain rhythm — rope drills, glacier travel, and that final climb: over 300 meters of sun-warmed greywacke leading to pristine snow slopes and a summit that opens to the full sweep of Aoraki, Tasman, and the endless peaks beyond.

From heli access to alpine nights surrounded by silence, this is New Zealand mountaineering at its finest. Join us, step onto Haidinger’s ridges and discover what it means to earn your place among the clouds — one pitch, one breath, one unforgettable climb!
