At your hotel on the mainland of Lake Bunyonyi, be prepared for pickup at 5:00 AM for your transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, specifically to the Ntebeko park headquarters, where you will begin the Mount Gahinga Volcano Trekking. This extinct volcano is located in the Virunga Mountains within the Albertine Rift, part of the western branch of the East African Rift, and it lies along the borders of Uganda, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Notably, Muhabura is shared between Uganda and Rwanda.
After completing the trek on Gahinga Volcano, you will return to Lake Bunyonyi, concluding your trip.
