Route details

Day 1
Transfer From Kigali to Bwindi National Park

Our representative will meet you at Kigali Airport or your hotel in Kigali. You will visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Center, which serves as the final resting place for over 250,000 victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda. The memorial honors the memory of more than one million Rwandans who lost their lives in 1994 through initiatives focused on education and peace-building.

After your visit, you will be transferred to the Lodge, which will take approximately 4 to 5 hours. You will stay in one of their comfortable self-contained safari cottages. From this location, you will set off for gorilla tracking tomorrow!

We recommend arranging an East Africa visa in advance. It costs $100 per person and allows for multiple entries into both Uganda and Rwanda.

Day 2

Tour provider's comments

Anyone with a reasonable fitness level should be okay, but you must remember that paths can be slippery and steep and the foliage thick. The trek is unpredictable and could last up to 6 or more hours.
