Lake Mburo and Gorilla Trek Holiday

Following an early morning breakfast, there will be a walking safari. Exploring Africa's wilderness is a key part of many of our trips, and there's no better way to do it than by foot. Walking safaris offer a completely different experience compared to game drives—being on foot allows for a deeper connection with your environment.

Walking safaris are the original form of safari and represent the most authentic experience. When you step away from the comfort of a 4WD vehicle, your senses become heightened, making the bush feel much more 'real.' This is the environment where humans evolved, and experiencing its sounds and scents as our ancestors did can be truly impactful. Meeting wildlife on their terms, as part of their world, can be far more fulfilling than simply observing from a distance—few experiences are as humbling as encountering wild buffalo on foot.

This walking safari will be combined with a game drive and followed by a transfer to Bwindi/Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, where you'll spend the night at Travelers Rest Hotel or a similar accommodation.

Following an early morning breakfast, you'll join a group of UWA rangers in the park sector for an exciting Gorilla Trekking experience. This adventure is not only intriguing but also incredibly enjoyable. Unlike simply observing these magnificent forest giants from a distance, this trek involves a more active engagement as you follow the gorillas through their habitat. It can feel like a child's adventure as you track their movements through the forest.

You'll spend the night at Travelers Rest Hotel or a similar accommodation.

After a leisurely morning breakfast, drive through the green tea estate as you head back to Entebbe/Kampala. This will mark the end of your trip.
