Five peaks, four days, and a trail that asks you to earn every view. This Mae Hong Son trek is a demanding mountain traverse through one of Northern Thailand’s most remote regions, built for experienced hikers who want raw ridgelines, quiet forests, and sunrise above a sea of mist.
The route leads deep into the highlands by 4WD before the walking begins through pristine forest, bamboo, narrow ridges, and open viewpoints. You climb toward Pui Luang, continue to the Hidden Mountain of Loe Poe He, and push on toward Loe Jo through some of the wildest sections of the journey. Days are long, with 5–7 hours of hiking, steep climbs, uneven ground, and changing mountain weather, but the reward is unforgettable: sunset from remote camps, mist-filled valleys at dawn, and trails rarely touched by mass tourism.
Nights are spent in simple shared tents at sanctuary campsites, with basic facilities, no showers on the mountain, and freshly prepared meals to restore energy after the trail. Pack light, bring a flexible mindset, and step into a journey where the mountains demand effort — and give back silence, distance, and views you will remember for years!
