Morning mist, river water, wooden village houses, and one night high on Mon Jong — this route feels like northern Thailand in motion. It is made for travellers who want active days, local places, and mountain air without a technical trekking challenge.
The journey starts in Mae Kampong, with its cool climate, waterfalls, temple, and quiet wooden homes, before continuing to Ban Khao Lam for a riverside homestay. Here the pace becomes playful: tubing along the river, feeding and bathing elephants, then dinner in the village under the night sky. The next day brings bamboo rafting on the Mae Taeng River, passing forested banks and small villages, before the route climbs toward Huay Kub Kab, a remote Muser hill tribe village with misty mountain views.
After a 4WD trip and a short hike to Doi Pha Sam Liam, the tour returns to Mae Kampong for cafés, waterfalls, and the walking street, then moves into Chiang Mai for temples, markets, and city time. The final adventure is Mon Jong: an early summit trek, ridge views, sunset at camp, stargazing, and sunrise over the mountain ranges. Join this trip for a rare mix of village life, rivers, elephants, temples, and a night under the stars on one of northern Thailand’s beautiful peaks!
