7-Day Ultimate Nature And Culture Trek

Following a fulfilling breakfast, we start a three-hour nature walk through the vibrant local rainforests. Along the way, we take a break for lunch, where you will collaborate with your guide to prepare your meal by cooking in bamboo stems over an open fire—the traditional jungle way!

After our meal, we continue our trek for another two hours until we reach a riverside Lahu village. This offers a wonderful cultural experience, allowing you to learn about this hill tribe, savor their cuisine for dinner, and spend the night with them.

You will have the opportunity to swim, fish, build a campfire, go river tubing, or simply unwind and relax.

Today is a perfect opportunity for your muscles to unwind while you enjoy a visual feast during a day of rafting. After breakfast, we will learn how to construct a raft from bamboo! Once we have packed our gear, we will set off on our handcrafted raft.

We will spend approximately five hours floating down the river, soaking in the beautiful scenery, relaxing, or taking turns at the helm. We will take a break by the riverside for lunch, and you will have the freedom to stop for a swim, try your hand at fishing, or simply explore the area.

In the late afternoon, we will arrive at our riverside elephant camp. Depending on the season and specific circumstances, we may have the option to spend the night at the Mae Taeng elephant camp or in a jungle hut nearby.

After enjoying an early breakfast, we gather the elephants. A mahout (elephant trainer) will provide you with essential riding instructions, after which you will have the opportunity to ride your elephant for an hour. Along the way, we will stop by a local village school, where you might be able to teach the children some English if they have a class during our visit.

Next, we take on another nature walk, trekking through the countryside for about two hours until we reach our lunch stop. After lunch, we will continue our trek for another two hours to help work off our meal before arriving at our homestay in a Karen tribe village.

This is a wonderful cultural experience, allowing you to learn about the hill tribe community, savor their traditional food, and spend the night with them.

Following breakfast, we take on a three-hour trek, primarily descending towards the hot springs. Once there, you can treat yourself to a sauna, unwind in the soothing warm pool, or follow the local tradition of boiling a couple of eggs!

We will enjoy lunch at the hot springs before continuing our trek to a nearby Karen village. Since this may not be your first visit to a Karen community, you might have the chance to greet them in Karen – give it a try!

Following breakfast, we take on a nature walk to our second elephant camp as a part of the tour. This three-hour trek includes a lunch break upon our arrival.

After lunch, you can choose from a variety of activities. You may opt to trek, river tube, or ride an elephant to our next destination, a charming riverside village inhabited by the Lahu tribe. Depending on the season, you might have the flexibility to decide your preferred mode of transportation. However, if water levels are too low or the current is too dangerous, river tubing may not be available.

In the evening, you will have the opportunity to upgarde your cooking skills from your guide and the villagers during your free time!

Following breakfast, we take on a two-hour journey down the river on bamboo rafts. Afterward, you will have some leisure time before we enjoy lunch together.

Post-lunch, we gear up for our final adventure, which is arguably the most thrilling of them all: white water rafting on the Mae Taeng River rapids. This river is celebrated locally for offering some of the best white water rafting experiences in Thailand, featuring thrilling class three and four rapids. We partner with a highly reputable company known for its outstanding safety record.

After our exhilarating white water rafting experience, we will return to Chiang Mai.
