The Lemosho Route offers one of the most scenic and unspoiled paths to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. Beginning in the lush western foothills, you’ll pass through vibrant local farms and dense forest vegetation before reaching the breathtaking Shira Plateau. Its extended length allows for better acclimatization, increasing your chances of a successful summit while giving you more time to soak in the stunning landscapes. Unlike other routes, Lemosho often allows for a daytime summit, offering a peaceful, crowd-free experience at the peak — a favorite for those seeking a more exclusive and rewarding adventure.

Tour highlights

Most Scenic Route on Kilimanjaro
This route is known for its unspoiled beauty and diverse landscapes - traverse through lush rainforest, alpine deserts and the stunning Shira Plateau.
High Summit Success Rate
Thanks to a longer itinerary and gradual altitude gain, Lemosho offers superior acclimatization time, increasing chances of safely reaching the Peak.
Daytime Summit and Fewer Crowds
Avoid the crowds with a less-traveled path and the option for a daytime summit—more rewarding way to experience the breathtaking roof of Africa.
