The 6 Days Kilimanjaro Trekking Marangu Route offers one of the most comfortable and accessible ways to reach Uhuru Peak (5,895 m), the highest point in Africa. Marangu is the only route on Kilimanjaro featuring mountain huts instead of camping, making it ideal for trekkers seeking a more comfortable experience on the mountain.

This journey takes climbers through an extraordinary range of landscapes, from lush rainforest and alpine moorlands to dramatic high-altitude desert and arctic summit terrain. The additional acclimatization day at Horombo Hut greatly improves summit success while allowing trekkers to enjoy panoramic views of Mawenzi and Kibo Peaks at a slower and safer pace.

Designed for first-time climbers as well as adventurous travelers looking for a classic Kilimanjaro experience.

Tour provider's comments

The route is physically moderate compared to other Kilimanjaro routes thanks to its steady incline and comfortable infrastructure, though summit day remains challenging due to altitude and long hiking hours.

The climb is fully supported by an experienced mountain team including certified guides, assistant guides, porters, and cooks. Safety equipment includes oxygen cylinders, oximeters, first aid kits, and radio communication systems. Porters transport the main luggage while climbers carry only personal daypacks.

An additional day at Horombo Hut and Mawenzi Ridge improves acclimatization and summit success rates.
