Route details

We will depart from Krakow at the designated meeting point, with the departure time ranging between 3-5 am, depending on the chosen route.

The High Tatras is a stunning mountain range located in northern Slovakia, about 150 km from Krakow, serving as a natural border with Poland. Its iconic jagged peaks rise over 2,500 meters (8,200 feet) and represent the highest section of the Carpathians, protected by national parks on both the Polish and Slovak sides.

On this journey, you'll explore a variety of hiking trails that cater to different skill levels. The trails range from easy paths that lead to charming mountain huts to more demanding routes featuring metal steps and chains for added safety.

This one-day adventure begins with a private car ride from Krakow to the hiking starting point in the breathtaking Slovak High Tatras. The chosen route and difficulty will be carefully customized to match your group's fitness and experience levels.

We can leisurely explore the enchanting mountain huts of the High Tatras or, for those seeking a challenge, we can tackle hikes that ascend above 2,000 meters (6,561 feet). Our hike will take us to the chosen destination in the High Tatras of Slovakia, which could be a mountain hut, mountain pass, or one of the peaks.

We will return to Krakow between 9-11 pm, completing our adventurous day in the High Tatras.

Tour provider's comments

We will hike approx. 15-25 km with 600-1600 m of altitude gain a day, dependently on a route chosen.

No prior experience is required, as the hike difficulty will be adjusted to the trip participants. Note, that some routes may require a "good head" for heights. The program can be adjusted to children and older people.
