Route details
This morning, after you finish your breakfast, your guide will meet you at the hotel and take you to Nyungwe Forest, one of the largest forests in East and Central Africa. The forest is rich in diverse plant and animal life, featuring 13 species of primates, including colobus monkeys, mangabeys, blue monkeys, and, of course, our relatives, the chimpanzees. Additionally, Nyungwe Forest is a renowned spot for birdwatching, boasting around 310 recorded bird species, 26 of which are endemic. It stands out as one of the most significant yet relatively undiscovered birdwatching locations in Africa.
You will have dinner and spend the night at your reserved lodge.
