East Africa’s Hidden Treasures Safari

Today, you can join either the Rwanda Gorilla Trekking experience or opt for the alternative Golden Monkey Trekking Tour.

After an early breakfast, you'll be transferred to the Kinigi park headquarters for a briefing about the trek. Then, you'll hike into the rainforest to encounter a troop of incredible mountain gorillas. Each troop is monitored by a 24-hour guard, ensuring their location is known. You’ll typically spend an hour with them, allowing you to sit and observe them up close.

Following this adventure, you'll be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, where you'll spend the night at Travelers Rest Hotel or a similar accommodation.

Following an early morning breakfast, you will be taken to the ranger station for a briefing on the guidelines for interacting with gorillas during your Uganda Gorilla Trekking experience.

After the briefing, a senior ranger guide will accompany you as you hike into the forest in search of the gorillas. Once located, you'll typically have an hour to sit and observe them from a distance of about 10 meters.

After this unforgettable experience, you will return to the lodge for the night at Travelers Rest Hotel or a similar accommodation.

Following breakfast, you'll head to Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is inhabited by elephants, lions, hippos, buffalo, and baboons. Join in on game drives this afternoon and the following day. While you explore, keep an eye out for the unique tree-climbing lions, a rare sight in Africa.

You'll also have the chance to observe some of Uganda's largest elephant herds, along with groups of buffalo and numerous antelopes.

Spend the night at Bush Lodge.

After enjoying an early morning breakfast, we'll go on a morning game drive through the Kasenyi Plains, a prime area for predators hunting their prey. This drive offers a great chance to see various animals, including jackals, bushbucks, forest hogs, buffaloes, elephants, and kob, as they engage in their daily activities.

In the afternoon, set off on a wonderful boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where you can observe stunning birds and wildlife. A Ugandan wildlife safari is considered incomplete without this boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which draws a significant number of animals and birds seeking water. This boat safari will surely provide you with close encounters with these creatures.

After the boat trip, enjoy evening game viewing on your way back to the lodge, where you will spend the night at Bush Lodge or a similar accommodation.

After an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to Kyambura Gorge, located 35 kilometers from the lodge, to track chimpanzees in this stunning gorge on the eastern side of the park. This area is rich in wildlife, including various primates found in Queen Elizabeth National Park. It serves as a crucial water source for many animals and is surrounded by savanna, but is particularly recognized for its dense population of primates within the gorge.

Here, you can also spot red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, baboons, and vervet monkeys. Additionally, the gorge is home to a diverse range of bird species, such as different types of falcons, the blue-headed bee-eater, and the African Finfoot.

Following this adventure, you will be transferred to Lake Mburo National Park for an overnight stay at Rwakobo Rock.

We will start with walking safaris, which provide an incredible opportunity to observe wildlife in Lake Mburo. Without the noise of a motor engine, you'll be able to hear much more and truly immerse yourself in nature. You can expect to see a variety of animals, including warthogs, topis, impalas, duikers, bushbucks, waterbucks, and zebras. Keep in mind that the time of year and weather can influence the number and types of animals you encounter, as they tend to graze where the grass is most appealing. Observing animals on foot is a serene experience and offers a completely different perspective compared to a game drive; zebras may even approach you out of curiosity about the unusual creature without stripes.

Afterward, you'll return to the lodge for breakfast before being transferred to Entebbe, concluding your Tour. Your guide will take you to your designated hotel or to the airport for your night flight home. End.
