We will hike through the lesser-known paths of Beskid Sądecki and Pieniny. Both mountain ranges provide breathtaking views and their marked trails allow us to explore well-preserved Carpathian forests and nature reserves.

Throughout the trek, we will ascend the highest peaks of these ranges: Radziejowa, the tallest in Beskid Sądecki at 1266 meters above sea level, and Wysoka, the highest in Pieniny at 1050 meters. We will also enjoy three nights in charming mountain huts. Our journey will begin and conclude in Szczawnica, one of Poland’s most picturesque spa resorts, established in the 19th century and still thriving today. You can find a detailed itinerary below.

I am a certified guide in the Polish Jura and the Beskidy Mountains, possessing the UIMLA International Mountain Leader certification, and I also work as a survival and ski instructor. Furthermore, I have undergone specialized training to assist individuals with vision impairments. I truly enjoy working with people and having regular interactions with nature as part of my job. As a mountain guide, my main focuses are professionalism and safety. To uphold these standards, I participate in ongoing training to continually improve my skills. I maintain up-to-date licenses and permits for national parks in the Lesser Poland and Subcarpathian regions. Route details

Departure from Krakow to Szczawnica marks the beginning of an exciting adventure in the heart of the Polish mountains.

After arriving in Szczawnica, we will go on a scenic hike to the Przehyba mountain shelter, where we can take in the breathtaking views and enjoy the tranquility of nature.

Distance: approx. 10 km

Elevation: 750 m

Duration: approx. 4-5 hours.

Tour provider's comments

In order to join this tour, you will need to have a good fitness level, and prior experience on overnight treks. You will be required to hike with a backpack in mountain terrain for around 7 to 10 hours per day. Everyone will need to carry their own personal items for overnight stays in mountain shelters.

The program may be not suitable for children and older people.

We will hike approx 15 km with 700 m of altitude gain a day.

It's important to know

In general, you will need a backpack, good hiking shoes, a first aid kit with your medicines, a warm clothing layer, sun protection, wind and rain protective clothes, a headtorch, and trekking poles. I will provide the detailed equipment list prior to the trip.
