My name is Mohamed. I am a mountain and desert guide. Graduated from CFAMM (Trades Training Center Mountain). I speak Tamazight (Berber), Arabic, French and English. I worked in the service of the main tour operators from different countries,which helped me build a solid field experience and an excellent pedagogical approach and psychological conduct groups, so now I am an owner of a travel agency.

Route details

After breakfast in Marrakech, you will be picked up and driven towards the High Atlas Mountains, passing through Tahnnaout, Oued Ghighaya, and Asni. Along the way, take in the breathtaking views of the villages nestled in the valley.

Upon arriving in Imlil, located 65 km from Marrakech, you will meet your guide and muleteer before starting your trek.

Ascend the Tizi Mzik pass (2684m) for stunning panoramas of the Imlil valley and the Toubkal summit. Continue on to Tamsoulte, where you can visit the highest waterfalls in the Atlas Mountains, standing at 100 meters tall.

Then, descend through the Azzaden valley, passing through juniper forests until you reach Tizi Oussem village. You will spend the night at a guest house in the village after a rewarding 6-hour trek.

We have just finished some days in the High Atlas with Mohamed as our guide. Really this has been the best trip we have made in many years. The scenery, information, explanations and humour presented by Mohamed made every day a great day. He is a real gentleman, seems to know everyone in the surrounding villages and also has the nicest family - we had the privilege of meeting them. Thank you Mohamed, Ian and I have had a wonderful time and will hope to return to Morocco someday!
