Route details

Your journey begins with a transfer from Marrakech to Imlil, which takes approximately 1.5 hours. Upon arrival in Imlil, situated at an altitude of 1,740 meters, you'll meet your guide and the mule team.

The trek will commence as you venture through the picturesque Ait Mizane Valley, where you'll pass through charming Berber villages such as Aroumd achayn and Ait Souka.

As you continue your hike, you'll reach the sacred site of Sidi Chamharouch, located at 2,310 meters and nestled beneath the majestic Atlas Mountains. Here, you can enjoy a leisurely lunch while soaking in the tranquil surroundings.

Afterward, you'll make your way back to the village of Armed, where you'll have dinner and spend the night in a cozy guesthouse.

We went for a 5-day trekking in mid-January and it was amazing! We were lucky with nice sunny weather and good hiking conditions. Above all, we were very happy with the guiding and the great cooking. The guys were friendly and respectful, and we had some good laughs along the way, whilst we also learned a few words of Berber-Amazigh. We had three different stays in guest houses, starting very basic before getting more luxury later on. The communication upfront with Hamid was very smooth and punctual.

From start to finish the whole service from Imlil trekking was fantastic. Hamid helped make the most of the time we were there. The hike and views were stunning and this was capped off with a great lunch provided at his house, even going the extra mile to accommodate a vegetarian option at late notice for my wife. Thanks again Hamid!!!
