Route details

Enjoy a private car ride from Marrakech for an exciting 1 hour and 20-minute journey to the Berber town of Imlil.

We will gradually ascend to the Neltner Refuge (3207m), which serves as the base camp for Jebel Toubkal, the highest peak in the region. Departing from the lush fields of Aroumd, we will pause for a picnic lunch by the river before continuing our climb to the Neltner Refuge.

We will spend the night at the refuge (3200m).

We have just finished some days in the High Atlas with Mohamed as our guide. Really this has been the best trip we have made in many years. The scenery, information, explanations and humour presented by Mohamed made every day a great day. He is a real gentleman, seems to know everyone in the surrounding villages and also has the nicest family - we had the privilege of meeting them. Thank you Mohamed, Ian and I have had a wonderful time and will hope to return to Morocco someday!
