Route details

Kick off your day with a picturesque drive from Marrakech to the High Atlas Mountains, taking the scenic route through Tahnnaout, Oued Ghighaya, and Asni, where you'll pass delightful Berber villages along the way.

Upon arriving in Imlil (1740m), you'll meet your guide and muleteer. Your adventure begins with a trek up Tizi Mzik pass (2684m), where you'll be treated to stunning panoramic views of the Imlil Valley and the Toubkal summit.

Next, head to Tamsoulte to witness the tallest waterfalls in the Atlas Mountains, cascading at 100m. You'll then descend through a verdant juniper forest into Azzaden Valley, ultimately reaching the village of Tizi Oussem (1850m). Spend the night in a cozy traditional Berber guesthouse.

We went for a 5-day trekking in mid-January and it was amazing! We were lucky with nice sunny weather and good hiking conditions. Above all, we were very happy with the guiding and the great cooking. The guys were friendly and respectful, and we had some good laughs along the way, whilst we also learned a few words of Berber-Amazigh. We had three different stays in guest houses, starting very basic before getting more luxury later on. The communication upfront with Hamid was very smooth and punctual.

From start to finish the whole service from Imlil trekking was fantastic. Hamid helped make the most of the time we were there. The hike and views were stunning and this was capped off with a great lunch provided at his house, even going the extra mile to accommodate a vegetarian option at late notice for my wife. Thanks again Hamid!!!
