Imagine standing on the rim of an extinct volcano, riding through pine forests beside Lake Khuvsgul, or floating quietly across its glassy blue surface—all in a single week. This is Mongolia. Its northern and central lands invite you into a journey both vast and deeply intimate.
This route weaves through Mongolia’s most iconic landscapes: the elegant Amarbayasgalant Monastery, cratered peaks like Uran Togoo, and the deep stillness of Khuvsgul Dalai near the Siberian border. You'll meet reindeer families, ride horseback to Khorgo Volcano, and unwind in the mineral-rich waters of Tsenkher Hot Springs. Boat trips, mountain hikes, forest walks, and nomadic hospitality shape every step of the journey.
During the tour you will also have a chance to spend nights in ger (yurt) camps, and experience nomadic family stays. If you are reading this, this is your invitation to cross great distances, without losing the feeling of being fully present. Join us on the trail through Mongolia’s raw heartlands—untouched, unforgettable, they are waiting for you!

Route details
After breakfast, we continue our journey to Amarbayasgalant Monastery. This is one of the four major monasteries in Mongolia and the most significant one in the north. It’s also among the largest and is widely regarded as the most architecturally beautiful.
Sadly, during the religious purges of the 1930s, some of its structures were damaged, and 10 out of the original 37 temples were destroyed. Recent restoration efforts were completed with support from UNESCO.
