Gobi Mirage Adventure Tour

This morning, after enjoying breakfast at the hotel, our guide and driver will meet you at your accommodation for the journey to Tsagaan Suvarga, situated in the Dundgovi province.

The stunning east-facing slope resembles the ruins of an ancient city from afar. Tsagaan Suvarga features striking clay deposits in a variety of colors, forming a dramatic 90-degree slope.

This morning, we will take on a drive to Yol Valley, also known as Vulture Canyon. This stunning and deep canyon is characterized by its impressive rocky cliffs, shaped over countless years by the forces of water erosion, promoting sustainable travel.

Upon our arrival at the canyon, we will enjoy a 2-hour hike, where we will have the opportunity to see remnants of glaciers from the winter months. Additionally, we can visit the local Natural History Museum, either on our way in or out of the park, where fascinating exhibits include dinosaur eggs and bones, petrified trees, and a snow leopard.

Khongor Sand Dune is one of the largest and most breathtaking dunes in Mongolia, soaring up to 200 meters high, spanning 7-8 km in width, and extending 180 km in length. The experience of climbing these dunes is awe-inspiring, offering stunning views from the top.

Climbers are often amazed by the melodic sounds produced by the dunes as they ascend, earning them the nickname “singing dunes”.

The serene atmosphere of the sand dunes envelops you in a sense of comfort and tranquility. Upon arrival, you will have the opportunity to ride a camel through the Khongor dunes. The two-humped Bactrian camels provide a comfortable ride, moving slowly and gently, allowing you to sit comfortably between their humps.

Today, we will drive to the Bayanzag region, famously known as the "Flaming Cliffs" or the “Cradle of Dinosaurs”. This remarkable site is home to the first nest of dinosaur eggs ever discovered, which was unearthed in 1922. It is renowned for the remains of dinosaurs that inhabited this area 60 million years ago.

You will have the opportunity to stroll through the ancient landscape where dinosaurs once roamed, surrounded by saxaul trees and other typical desert flora.

The remarkable granite formations of Baga Gazariin Chuluu, meaning “stone of the little place”, are situated to the northwest of the Dundgovi province. Here, you can observe inscriptions left by two revered monks who resided in the area during the 19th century. Additionally, we will explore the ruins of a 17th-century temple.

You will also come across a deep, narrow pool where stagnant rainwater is believed to have healing properties for eye ailments. A small ladle is provided on the rock for visitors to wash their eyes with this sacred water.

This morning, following a satisfying breakfast at the tourist camp, we will head back to the city, expected to arrive around noon. If you are interested, there will be time for some shopping afterwards.

Finally, we will drop you off at the international airport, marking the conclusion of our tour.
