We begin in Litochoro and drive to Gkortsia, the starting point of our ascent. The trail leads us through dense forests of pine, beech, fir, and holm oak, one of the most scenic routes on Mt. Olympus. After a pause at Petrostrougga refuge, we continue past Skourta peak, the dramatic Laimos ridge, and the Yossos pass before reaching the Muses Plateau, surrounded by the mighty peaks and the legendary Throne of Zeus. Weather permitting, we may also climb to Prophet Ilias (2,803 m) and its iconic chapel.
