Uganda Unveiled: Gorillas, Falls and Savannah Dreams

Rise early to enjoy a lavish breakfast, allowing adventurous explorers to set off on a morning game drive in the peninsula located between Victoria and Lake Albert Nile. Experience the highest density of wildlife in the stunning Murchison Falls region.

After lunch, we'll go on a breathtaking boat cruise to the foot of the impressive Murchison Falls, where the ground vibrates from one of the world's most powerful waterfalls. Meanwhile, crocodiles bask in the sun with their wide jaws ominously open before heading back to the lodge for the night.

Overnight accommodations will be at Gipir Labong Safari Lodge or a comparable venue.

Following a relaxed breakfast, you will go on a transfer to Kibale National Park. The journey is exceptionally picturesque, passing through the western rift valley floor and escarpments, as well as tea and sugarcane plantations, all set against the backdrop of Uganda's vibrant countryside.

Kibale National Park is home to more than 13 species of primates, many of which you are likely to see during your visit.

You'll spend the night at Chimpanzee Forest Lodge or a comparable accommodation.

The chimpanzee trekking experience offers a distinctive chance to witness a community of chimpanzees engaged in their daily routines. Accompanied by national park rangers, you'll explore the forest floor, observing the chimps as they forage for fruit and communicate with each other. You will spend an hour following them, gaining insight into their diverse behaviors.

This activity is part of the Uganda Wildlife Authority's initiative to trek chimpanzees while preserving their natural habitat, making it a highlight of your safari!

In the afternoon, you can participate in a community and swamp walk led by members of the Bigodi Community, providing an opportunity to learn about traditional African culture.

After a relaxed breakfast in the morning, you'll head to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive offers stunning views of the Rwenzori Mountain ranges within Rwenzori Mountains National Park.

Mount Stanley, standing at 5,109 meters, is the highest peak in both Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, with the Rwenzori mountains being the third tallest range in Africa, following Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and Mount Kenya in Kenya.

Uganda is one of the 13 countries through which the Equator passes, and you'll take a brief stop at the Kikorongo Equator line for some picturesque moments before continuing to the hotel.

Start your day with an early breakfast before going on a morning game drive.

Explore the Kasenyi Plains, a prime location for spotting predators in action as they hunt. This game drive offers a fantastic chance to see various animals, including jackals, bushbucks, forest hogs, buffaloes, elephants, and kob, as they engage in their daily activities.

In the afternoon, enjoy a delightful boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, where you can observe stunning birds and wildlife. This experience will undoubtedly allow you to encounter these fascinating creatures up close.

After your boat safari, take in the evening game viewing on your way back to the lodge. You'll spend the night at Bush Lodge or a similar accommodation.

The Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park is renowned for its tree-climbing lions.

After enjoying an early morning breakfast, start your journey to Bwindi/Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, making a stop at the Ishasha sector for a game drive before continuing on to Bwindi/Mgahinga.

Spend the night at Travelers Rest Hotel or a similar accommodation.

Following an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the ranger station at Bwindi/Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. After receiving a briefing from a ranger guide, you will enter the gorilla sanctuary for your adventure. The rainforest's beauty is breathtaking, featuring a dramatically steep and densely forested landscape, interwoven with numerous animal trails that provide access for visitors.

The duration of the trek and the terrain can vary based on the gorillas' movements. Observing these gentle and endangered giants is an exhilarating experience that many cherish as a rare and profound opportunity. After your day of exploration, you will return to the lodge for the night, staying at Travelers Rest Hotel or a similar accommodation.

You will start your day with a relaxed breakfast before being transferred to Lake Bunyonyi. You have the option to take part in a gorilla trek, which requires a ticket priced at $800, before heading to the lake.

You'll spend the night at Lake Bunyonyi Overland Camp or a similar accommodation.

Following an early breakfast, you will be transferred to Lake Mburo National Park, where a game drive may be available upon arrival.

The trip to Lake Mburo NP offers stunning views of the farmlands and the rolling hills of Kigezi.

You will spend the night at Rwakobo Rock or a comparable accommodation.

Following an early morning breakfast, participants will go on a walking safari. Exploring Africa's wilderness is a key aspect of our trips, and there's no better way to do it than on foot.

Walking safaris in Africa offer a completely different experience compared to game drives; being on foot allows for a deeper connection with the environment. These safaris are the original form of exploration and represent the most authentic experience. Without the comfort of a 4WD vehicle, your senses become heightened as you immerse yourself in the bush, which is where humanity originated. Experiencing the sounds and scents of the wilderness can be deeply moving, reminiscent of what our ancestors experienced.

Encountering wildlife on their terms, as an active participant in their habitat, can be far more fulfilling than simply observing from a distance—few experiences are as humbling as coming face-to-face with a wild buffalo on foot. This will be followed by a transfer to Kampala/Entebbe, concluding the 11-day safari. End.
