Route details
We hope your flight arrives early (before noon) in Entebbe. Your guide/driver will meet you at Entebbe International Airport and take you on the journey to Murchison Falls National Park. This park features the impressive Murchison rapids and the expansive plains of Uganda’s largest national park, where you may spot lions, giraffes, hartebeest, buffalo, and elephants. You’ll also be captivated by the large populations of hippos and Nile crocodiles in the area. Birdwatchers will appreciate Murchison Falls' 450 bird species, including the rare shoebill stork, dwarf kingfisher, white-thighed hornbill, and Goliath heron, among others.
On your way, you’ll stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for your first Big 5 encounter, where you can spend an hour tracking rhinos. Another stop will be in Masindi for lunch before continuing to the park and checking into your accommodation to unwind for the evening.
