Route details

Day 1
Reach Thailand's Highest Peak

We begin our Doi Inthanon trip with a 7 am pickup from your accommodation in Chiang Mai. After driving to Thailand's highest peak at 2,565 meters, we'll enjoy a short hike for stunning views and photos, followed by a visit to the King and Queen twin pagodas, surrounded by beautifully manicured gardens.

Next, we’ll head to our trekking start point for a two-hour hike through lush jungle, where you can admire unique flora and fauna. Afterward, we’ll have lunch at a local Hmong village, where your guide will share insights about the community.

During the rainy season (May to November), some trails may be closed, and we may adjust to an afternoon trek instead. This trek will take us through pristine areas dotted with waterfalls.

Our journey concludes at Mae Klang Luang Karen village, renowned for its rice terraces and organic agricultural project, where you can purchase local products. We’ll spend the night in either Pa Mon or Mae Klang Luang hill tribe village.

Meals: lunch and dinner.

I really enjoyed this tour! It was very active, from biking to trekking to rafting, and. The amount of things I got to see was incredible. I really enjoyed seeing some of the out of the way sights. The stay at was very nice - the bungalows are great and the cooking class was really fun. The guide and all people I interacted with were very thoughtful and fun to be around, and had a lot of knowledge about anything you would want to know. Overall, highly recommend!

My husband and I could not recommend this tour provider more. We completed a 5- day cultural experience. The itinerary was a true representation of the experience we had. Our main guide Lu was great and spoke English to help us in the local tribes. Our local guide Jamo was also very kind and helpful. They were both so good at making each day exactly what was best for us. For example, he invited us to help cook meals and explained the culture, animals, and plants very well. Also, the food was amazing and hikes and adventures were great. They were very accommodating to make the hikes to our skill level and desires. It definitely accomplished our goal of cultural emersion and adventure!
