If you're looking for a brief experience of what Mount Kilimanjaro has in store, we can accommodate that as well. After breakfast at your hotel, our driver will transport you to Marangu Gate, located at 1980m. From there, you'll go on a hike through the rainforest to explore Maundi Crater and the Mandara campsite. This half-day excursion allows you to observe colobus monkeys and a diverse variety of birds in their natural environment.

Route details

Your adventure will begin after breakfast, with our driver ready to take you from Arusha/Moshi to the village of Marangu.

By selecting this route, your trek will commence at the Marangu gate (1,980 m), where you'll need to register at the Park Office.

You'll then walk through the rainforest to reach the Mandara encampment. A detour to Maundi Crater offers a great opportunity to enjoy views of the surrounding areas, including Northern Tanzania and Kenya.

While in the rainforest, keep an eye out for towering Eucalyptus trees, various bird species, and Colobus monkeys.

After lunch, you'll hike back to the park gate and return to Moshi.

It's important to know

In case of booking cancellation the next policy applies. Tourists will receive a full amount they paid for the reservation in case they cancel more than 35 days in advance of the tour start date. In the event of cancellation within the period of 34 to 16 days before the tour start date - they are entitled to receive 50% of the booking amount. Cancelations made within 15 days before the tour starts will not be entitled to a refund.
