During this trip, you will trek along the Marangu Route, spending one night at Mandara Hut and then heading towards Horombo Hut before returning to Mandara for lunch and hiking back. Please note that you will not be reaching the summit. All short treks are organized on a private basis, and you can begin your adventure any day of the year. These short treks are designed for those who enjoy hiking without the necessity of summiting, allowing participants to experience the thrill of hiking on Africa's highest peak. It is important to know that all treks within Tanzania National Park require a certified Kilimanjaro guide, and the Marangu route is the only one that permits short hikes. For overnight excursions, accommodations will be in the park huts.

Route details
Following breakfast at your hotel, you will meet your guide and take a one-hour drive to the Kilimanjaro National Park Gate to register and begin your ascent.
You'll trek through the rainforest to reach the Mandara camp. A detour to Maundi Crater offers a great view of the surrounding areas, including Northern Tanzania and Kenya.
While in the rainforest, keep an eye out for the tall Eucalyptus trees, various bird species, and Colobus monkeys.

It's important to know
In case of booking cancellation the next policy applies. Tourists will receive a full amount they paid for the reservation in case they cancel more than 35 days in advance of the tour start date. In the event of cancellation within the period of 34 to 16 days before the tour start date - they are entitled to receive 50% of the booking amount. Cancelations made within 15 days before the tour starts will not be entitled to a refund.
