The rock walls of Samsungsan rise like silent guardians above Seoul, offering climbers a gateway from city noise into vertical freedom. Here, stone meets sky, and every move brings you closer to a summit where the horizon unfolds in all directions.
This 5–6 hour multi-pitch sport climb is designed for intermediate climbers, with four to five bolted pitches of face and slab climbing that feel playful rather than punishing. The short approach trail winds through forest, and a cool mountain stream waits below to refresh you after the ascent. With an experienced guide leading the way, the climb is equal parts challenge and discovery.
Travel is simple—meet by subway, hike in, climb, and descend on foot. No rappelling experience is required, only your energy and curiosity. Join this adventure and let Samsungsan reveal the city’s wildest side!

Hike down the mountain trail, passing streams where you can cool off before returning to the trailhead. (Schedule may vary with weather and conditions.)

Reviews
- GGráinneabout tour - Multi-Pitch Adventure to Samsungsan8 May, 2026Our guide John was brilliant - competent, flexible and an absolute gentleman. We loved our day out climbing in Seoul. Climbing far above the treetops and looking out at the city while clipped to a sunny cliff side is something I won't forget. The route has a few fun moves and thinky bits but generally cruisy. I wouldn't hesitate to book again if I were in the area.
