We'll begin our journey on a less-traveled trail, where nature takes the lead, with lush vegetation often lining the path. As we stroll along, we'll discover the native flora of this distinctive region. Before long, we'll arrive at my favorite segment of the trek—a ridge trail that presents lush surroundings and unobstructed views of the expansive sea. The cliffs dramatically plunge into the ocean, instilling a sense of awe and seclusion on this hidden gem.
As we follow the stunning coastline, we'll reach the famous Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of mainland Europe. Here, we'll share the legend of Cabo da Roca while soaking in the breathtaking panoramic views. After passing by its historic lighthouse, we'll proceed along a coastal path that leads us to Praia da Ursa, renowned as one of Portugal's most beautiful and untouched beaches.
At Praia da Ursa, you'll have the opportunity to take a swim if the conditions are right. We will then start our ascent back to where we began, enveloped by the vibrant colors of the sky reflecting off the cliffs and ocean, wrapping up our adventure with unforgettable memories.
This hike isn't simple, but it's doable for most people who have a decent level of fitness, determination, and maintain a suitable pace. We'll navigate along exposed cliffside paths that offer stunning views and steep inclines.
