Day 1
Cusco – Km.104 – Chachabamba – Wiñay Wayna – Machu Picchu

We start our 2-Day Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu with an early departure from Cusco, traveling through the Sacred Valley to Ollantaytambo, then to Km 104, the hike's starting point.

Chachabamba (2,040m / 6,692ft)

This archaeological site, believed to be a religious and administrative center, features carved altars and water channels, showcasing Inca ingenuity.

Wiñay Wayna (2,650m / 8,692ft)

Meaning "Forever Young," this stunning site has terraces, temples, and ritual baths, highlighting Inca agricultural and architectural mastery.

Intipunku (Sun Gate, 2,720m / 8,923ft)

The trail’s climax offers the first breathtaking view of Machu Picchu, aligning with the sun during solstices.

Aguas Calientes

We descend to this gateway town, resting overnight before exploring Machu Picchu the next day.

Cancellation of booking

In case of booking cancellation the next policy applies. Tourists will receive a full amount they paid for the reservation in case they cancel more than 35 days in advance of the tour start date. In the event of cancellation within the period of 34 to 16 days before the tour start date - they are entitled to receive 50% of the booking amount. Cancelations made within 15 days before the tour starts will not be entitled to a refund.
