Owner of the lodge, a keen mountaineer, skier and a mountain runner. Artur opened about 40 new routes in his home Tatra Mountains, climbed extensively both in the summer and in winter (mostly accompanied by his wife Alicja), attempted a new route on Cerro Torre in Patagonia and Kedar Dome in Garhwal Himalaya, and ventured to Tien-Szan Mountains. He is also a holder of a team speed record of the entire Tatra Ridge. He was a president of a renowned Warsaw High Mountain Club for a decade and was involved in many social activites for the climbing community. In recent years he became involved in mountain running and completed several interesting races, such as Tromsø Skyrace for example. Ski touring has been his passion for the past 30 years and this passion brought him to Norway.

Welcome to the Arctic! Whether you’re arriving in Tromsø (approx. 4 hours) or Sørkjosen (approx. 1 hour), you'll be greeted and transferred to the remote and breathtaking island of Uløya. Enjoy a scenic journey through snow-covered fjords and Arctic wilderness, arriving at your cozy, comfortable apartment overlooking the Lyngen Alps. We recommend arriving in Tromsø before 15:00 to make the most of your day. Settle in, relax, and prepare for an unforgettable week of adventure.

Tour provider's comments

Intermediate level means you need to be a competent alpine skier (red/black runs), have some basic touring experience and be prepared to do 800-1200m elevation per day. Ice-axe and boot crampons optional.

Advanced level means you must have touring experience, be a good skier (black alpine runs), and be fit for 800-1500 elevation per day, 4-8 hrs, and up to 40 dg steepness. Ice axe and boot crampons required.

All groups are initially set as intermediate, but the group level can be changed to advanced if we get entries that justify that.

- Up to 2 trips to neighbouring Lyngen Islands or Lyngen peninsula
- Up to 1500m elevation per day (more if requested, extra fee applies)
