A day trek in Aosta Valley is an unforgettable journey through one of Italy’s most spectacular mountain regions — a place where glaciers, alpine lakes, and 4000-meter peaks shape a truly majestic landscape. Surrounded by legends and history, this valley offers some of the best hiking in the entire Alps, all within reach of Turin or Milan.

Here you can walk in the shadow of the Mont Blanc, Matterhorn, Monte Rosa, and Gran Paradiso, the most iconic mountains in Europe.

I am Roberto, I was born in 1985 and I am an Hiking Guide from 2010, funded my company in 2012. I am a Telecommunications Engineer and I could definitively switch my carrer to Hiking guide in 2015. It was the best day of my life as I found also Love in that day: 9th of April will be always my personal National Holiday! I travelled the World and I love cultural differences. I love my job which is a mix of Nature, Beauty and shared experience: my passions all togheter.

Route details

We’ll meet either in Turin (Fermi metro station) or directly in Aosta town, depending on your preference. Departure from Turin is usually at 8:00 AM (or 9:30 AM from Aosta). Transportation to the mountains and back is included.

Once in the Alps, your local mountain guide will lead you on a tailor-made route chosen according to the season, weather, and your fitness level. Possible destinations include:

Gran Paradiso National Park – famous for its wildlife and alpine lakes.
Val Ferret or Val Veny – dramatic views of Mont Blanc’s glaciers.
Cogne or Valsavarenche Valleys – ideal for spotting ibex and chamois.
Valtournenche or Cervinia area – breathtaking views of the Matterhorn.

We’ll enjoy a picnic-style lunch along the way (not included) surrounded by incredible views. The hike typically lasts 6–7 hours with several stops to rest and take photos before returning to Turin or Aosta by evening.
