Hike to Testa di Liconi (2929 m), where you can witness one of the most stunning sunrises and sunsets over Mont Blanc.
Far from the crowded trails, this trek immerses you in wilderness and silence, with panoramic views of glaciers, high peaks, and alpine meadows.

The hike climbs through forests and highlands of Aosta Valley, offering a mix of challenging ascents and serene alpine landscapes.
For those seeking a more comfortable experience, an alternative lodge route reduces elevation gain while still providing breathtaking views.

This trek is perfect for adventurous teens and hikers eager to experience the highest peak of the Alps in a wild, private setting.

Unguarded Hut

The Unguarded Hut is the more adventurous and suggestive option. It’s like a small one-room house in the middle of the mountains, usually located at more than 2,500 meters (about 8,000 feet). Moreover, it’s the cheapest option, so if you are hiking alone or want to limit costs, this will be the best choice. Most of the experienced trekkers who come with me, as well as young people on their first mountain adventure, often choose this option. It can also be a very nice experience for children, especially for a single night.

Sleeping in an unguarded hut is a bit like comfortable camping, but with the big advantage that all unguarded huts (bivacchi in Italian) have beds, blankets, and pillows. They usually also have a table where you can sit, play cards, and eat together.

In the unguarded hut, there is no toilet or shower, and you’ll need to bring your own sleeping bag. The food is usually cooked by me, but I’ll need your help to carry it up, as nothing is sold up there.
