What began as a trial of three tours in 2021 quickly evolved into a highly sought-after experience for women around the globe. I founded our company after noticing the lack of women-only tours in Iceland, and I decided to create my own. I am gradually building a community for female travelers, encouraging them to push their boundaries. Although our company was established in 2021, I have been working as a tour guide in Iceland since 2013 and have had a passion for hiking, traveling, and connecting with nature from an early age. Our mission is to empower women through immersive travel experiences, providing opportunities for self-transformation and meaningful connections with others. We offer female-led excursions throughout Iceland, featuring everything from classic road trips to thrilling hikes on scenic trails.

Day 1
Welcome to Iceland!

Let's start our Icelandic adventure! Catch one of the airport buses, like Flybus or Airport Direct, to get to the city center. These buses run regularly and take about 45 minutes. You can book your tickets online to skip the lines at the airport.

Once you arrive, head to your hotel and get comfortable. If you're early, feel free to drop off your luggage and explore Reykjavik on a leisurely walk. The city is easy to navigate on foot, and you can visit iconic spots like Hallgrímskirkja or the Harpa Concert Hall.

Later, at 18:00, we'll gather for a welcoming meeting with the rest of the group and our guide. Afterward, we'll enjoy dinner together in the city and start getting excited for our adventures ahead!

Tour provider's comments

This moderately strenuous tour is meant for hikers with great fitness levels. You will be hiking for 7 days, covering up to 14 miles (24 km) a day on varied and sometimes glaciated terrain. Keep in mind, the weather can vary and you’ll also be packing a daypack filled with water and other things you’ll need throughout the day.

The trails are not paved, but in some places, paths have formed. Some trails are rocky but are easily accessible to anyone used to hiking in uneven terrain. Participants will need to cross rivers every day on the trail except on the first day. The water level in the rivers changes from time to time due to seasonal conditions. In some cases, you will be able to step from stone to stone to get to the other side. In other cases, you will need to take your shoes and socks off, put on river-crossing shoes and wade the rivers. Neoprene socks and sandals or neoprene shoes (beach shoes) are the best choice. Your guide will provide you with advice for river crossing, as well as help you to cross the river. Trekking poles might come in handy when wading rivers, as well as crossing with a partner.
