Ananuri Fortified Castle Ensemble
Ananuri Fortress: a tale etched in stone. Situated along the Aragvi River, this fortress is the only one in Georgia that has preserved its original structure. As you explore the grounds of the Ananuri defense complex, you'll feel transported back to the Middle Ages and discover the rich history of the Aragva eristavi (chieftains). We will also take a moment to admire the 17th-century Assumption Church, whose façade features intriguing bas-reliefs, each element of which holds a deeper significance.
Kvemo Mleta
Here, you'll witness the confluence of two rivers (White and Black Aragvi), enjoy stunning views at the Arch of Friendship, and discover a unique mineral spring that resembles a golden river.
Russian-Georgian Friendship Monument
The Friendship Arch stands on the mountain's edge near Gudauri. This marks the highest point of the pass and serves as an ideal spot to embrace the majesty of the mountains forever!
Our final destination will be the village of Juta, where the hiking trail begins. Located at an elevation of 2200 meters above sea level, you can embark on a six-kilometer hike one way, passing by the Chaukhi Ridge and taking in views of the Chaukhi Lake mountain massif along the way.
