The recommended departure time for the tour is 8:00 AM. In the morning, you'll be picked up from your hotel and leave Tbilisi. Travel north from the Zhinvali reservoir, then take the back road to Magaroskari and follow the mountain gravel road. Reaching the village of Roshka is a challenge, as only a 4X4 vehicle can access it. Roshka is one of the highest villages in Georgia.
At 12:00 PM, you'll arrive in Roshka and begin your trek to the lakes. The Abudelauri Lakes are situated at the base of Mount Chaukhi, in the northern part of the eastern Great Caucasus Mountains, within the Khevsureti province of Georgia. The trail starts from Roshka at an altitude of 2,200 meters. You'll have the chance to explore pristine, untouched nature as you trek to the stunning alpine lakes, which are approximately 6-8 km away one way. These lakes, located in Abudelauri Gorge and surrounded by mountains on three sides, are formed from glaciers and exhibit different colors: green, white, and blue, with the blue being the most notable.
At 5:00 PM, you'll return to the jeep in Roshka village and drive back to Tbilisi along scenic mountain paths adorned with wildflowers. You can expect to arrive back in Tbilisi around 9:00-10:00 PM.
