Trekking in Sinai is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure into the heart of Egypt’s most rugged and breathtaking landscapes. The Sinai Highlands reveal stunning contrasts — from rocky wadis and ancient mountain orchards to centuries-old Bedouin paths and panoramic views from Egypt’s tallest summits.

Exploring Sinai on foot is among Egypt’s most rewarding outdoor journeys. It blends long-distance trekking, multi-day wilderness expeditions, and high-altitude camping across a region that encompasses the nation’s seven most revered mountains. With its UNESCO recognition for both cultural and natural value, this land is a treasure for adventurers and heritage seekers alike.

Your journey through Sinai is also an invitation to connect with the Gebaliya Bedouins — the mountain tribe who have called these peaks home for centuries. Along the trail, you’ll share meals by open fire, sleep beneath endless starry skies, and discover traditions of herbal medicine, tribal heritage, and timeless wisdom that continue to shape life in the sacred Sinai mountains.

We create authentic hiking and trekking experiences in the mountains and deserts of Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula. Based in Saint Catherine, we specialize in both iconic treks—like Mount Sinai sunrise hikes and Mount Catherine ascents—and multi-day expeditions that take travelers deep into the wilderness with our Bedouin guides. For us, hiking is more than just walking trails—it’s about connecting with nature, culture, and people. That’s why every journey combines breathtaking landscapes with Bedouin hospitality, storytelling, and traditional desert life. Our mission is to make Sinai’s unique beauty accessible to hikers who want something deeper than a standard tour—a journey that transforms, inspires, and stays with you for life.

Tour provider's comments

You don’t need to be an expert hiker to join the trekking in Sinai, but you do need to be fit enough to hike for at least 6–7 hours every day in Sinai weather. You will walk through the amazing boulder-strewn wadis, dramatic switchbacks sometimes and through rocky trails or green valleys. However, each day will just keep you motivated for the next with the great company and breathtaking scenery.

12 nights

The Bedouins usually sleep under the stars. They call it the million-star hotel.
But sometimes there will be camping nights in the gardens equipped with Rocky rooms by the Bedouins; some of them contain mattresses and blankets, and sometimes we will camp our way through the pristine Sinai Trail. You will learn basic camping skills and how to set up a tent.

Everyone should have a tent and a sleeping bag suitable for all seasons to ensure that there is enough space to make you all feel comfortable.

A 3- or 4-season sleeping bag (depending on the time of year) will be enough to make your experience safe and comfortable.
