Route details

Begin your walk toward the highest point of Vila da Ribeira Brava, following the trail from Terreiro up to the old settlement of Caramujo. Once a busy community, Caramujo is now a collection of ruins visited mainly during the Espírito Santo festivities.

The path crosses former gardens and cultivated terraces before descending toward Carvoeiros, where sweeping sea views accompany the way.

From there, continue through Queimadas until the route returns to Vila da Ribeira Brava.
