This is certainly one of the lesser-known yet remarkable trails to explore in Santo Antão. After being picked up from your lodging, begin this incredible hike from the quaint village of Pinhao, situated 600 meters above sea level.

As you walk, you'll navigate small streams and hills dotted with serene settlements amid lush valleys, all while enjoying breathtaking coastal views. Experience the unique and distinctive landscapes filled with verdant mountains and traditional homes made of stone and straw.

In the village of Lombo Branco, you'll have the chance to observe local farmers tending to their livestock, including cows, goats, horses, and donkeys, as well as native plants and a variety of tropical birds.

Continue on to Sinagoga, a former Jewish community that settled in Santo Antão after being expelled from Portugal. Then, visit the natural swimming pool of Sinagoga, where you can take a refreshing swim if the weather allows.

The tour wraps up with a return to your accommodation.
