Route details

We will pick you up at your accommodation from 7:30am and have a short transfer to our meeting point at the Areyksat ferry dock which is located near the diamond island.

At the arrival point, we saddle up our bike, check the brake and our cycling guide will make a short brief of the bike, traffic and our tour. Then, we get a local ferry crossing of the Mekong River and reach the Phnom Penh countryside which is about 5- or 10-minutes’ drive on the ferry.

Continuously, we cycle through the local farmland where the farmers grow some mangos, bananas, lemongrass, papayas, corn and other vegetables farm as long as we cycle through the Khmer local villages. After we bike through the farms and have a short break to enjoy Khmer local deserts or fruits, we will visit a sedge weaving workshop where they make by hand and part of the local income besides farming and fishing.

After we experience with a local weaver for the sedge weaving, we cycle more through the farms, paddy rice fields and lotus farms as well, before having lunch at the local people’s house and learn more about silk weaving there. Silk weaving and sedge weaving are the Khmer traditional handicraft and top range in this region.

Finally, we have a short cycle more through the corn farms and getting on another ferry to get back to your hotel by our support vehicle.
