- KKateabout provider24 Aug, 2024I took part in a trek with Sue’s daughter and it was a great day. I also participated in Sue’s Batik and Embroidery workshop which was really fun and interesting! Sue is a really kind and patient teacher - I thank her for sharing her wisdom. I also ended up helping with processing some hemp fibers. From my stay with Sue and getting to meet some of her neighbours I can see how hardworking and joy loving people they are. I ended up buying some clothes from her as well - a beautiful handmade jacket and a baby carrier! I will always cherish my time there and I hope to return someday. I highly recommend this authentic experience to any travellers looking to learn about their beautiful culture. As a solo traveller it was really good to be amongst a family.
- JJaneyabout provider15 May, 2024First time visiting Vietnam, and among all our wonderful experiences this was a real eye-opener. Staying in the SaPa mountains with an indigenous family. They offered various length treks and we shared a beautiful dinner. They let us help with the cooking and learned about their culture, history and future. The children enjoyed some time playing football or singing songs together with us too. Comfortable room with en suite and amazing views. Highly recommend!
- KKillianabout provider8 Feb, 2024Sue and her family welcomed us into their home and really looked after us. Home cooked meals, breakfast and dinner each day, plus a bonus of a barbecue party, one day at lunch, which we were invited to. Only a handful of other guests from around the globe were amazing to interact with. Two days of trekking. We hike a lot and my wife said our first hike was her favorite ever. If you are looking for a truly cultural experience in Vietnam, I don’t think you will find one better than this. Thank you, Sue and your family!
