Route details

The day kicks off with a hotel pickup and a transfer to Mae Win, situated two hours south of Chiang Mai. We will navigate a steep dirt road, passing through a Karen village, until we arrive at a serene monastery nestled deep within the forest, a hidden gem rarely seen by outsiders. This is where our true enduro adventure begins.

We will tackle the steep ascent of a mountain before descending through a mix of double and single tracks, all while enjoying breathtaking views of Op Khan and Mae Wang National Park below. The uphill sections may be demanding, but there will be plenty of opportunities to rest, capture photos, and stay refreshed.

We will pause for lunch in a charming Karen village, where you can engage with the friendly locals who are always excited to meet visitors. Then comes the highlight of the day: a thrilling stretch of fast, flowing singletrack. It’s an exhilarating ride as you twist and turn down the forested hills into the valley below. Eventually, we will reach civilization, concluding our ride at Wat Mae Mood.

From there, we will head to our accommodation for the night, a cozy hillside resort offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. After enjoying a hearty dinner and some refreshments while chatting with fellow group members, you are sure to have a restful night’s sleep.

I had a blast spending time with Kom and Vi. Both of them are excellent guides and a lot of fun to hang out with. They are incredibly knowledgeable and always made sure I was as prepared as I could be for each part of the trail. As a beginner to mountain biking, the course was quite challenging, but overall, it was a great experience!

Outstanding ride! Lek was very friendly and did a wonderful job showing us the terrain. Steep and fun ride for the experienced rider. Would definitely do it again!
