Mount Meru, standing at 4,565 meters (14,977 ft), is Tanzania’s second-highest peak and the eighth tallest in Africa. Nestled within Arusha National Park, it dominates the landscape as its topographic centerpiece. The mountain’s lush, fertile slopes emerge from the savanna and are cloaked in rich forests that provide a haven for nearly 400 bird species. Wildlife lovers may also encounter colobus monkeys, buffalo, and giraffes along the scenic trails. A climb up Mount Meru is not just a trek—it's an unforgettable wildlife and nature experience in one of East Africa's most breathtaking settings.
