What does Sri Lanka look like from the saddle of a bike? On this route, it means tea-covered hills, forest edges, quiet villages and long mountain climbs followed by fast, rewarding descents. Starting from Kandy, the ride heads deep into the Hill Country and the Knuckles region before continuing towards Nuwara Eliya and Haputale.
Cycle through Elkaduwa tea plantations, stop at Mini World’s End, cool off in a natural pool and tackle a technical cross-country section near Corbett’s Gap. Further south, the route climbs through tea country towards Nuwara Eliya, then takes on the famous Devil’s Staircase, with sharp bends, rough terrain and views towards Bambarakanda Falls.
High-quality bicycles, helmets, an English-speaking host and a support vehicle with cycle-mechanics staff are included throughout. Join this ride if you want to see Sri Lanka beyond the main roads — one climb, village and mountain trail at a time!
