Rising dramatically above the skyline of Bukhansan National Park, Insubong Peak is a granite monolith that calls out to climbers seeking more than just a challenge — it promises a vertical journey into wild beauty and personal triumph. If you’ve dreamt of a climb that blends technical skill, breathtaking scenery, and raw adventure, this full-day ascent is your next summit story.
Over the course of 7–8 hours, you'll scale Insubong via traditional routes that require your own gear —cams, nuts, slings — making it perfect for intermediate climbers confident at the 5.8 YDS level (French 5 or 6a). The most popular line, Godeok-gil, also known as the “Lonely Road”, winds its way through graceful slabs, clean cracks, and textured faces. It's an excellent path for those new to trad or developing their lead skills. For a bolder climb, the Insu-B route rises straight up Insubong’s center with more exposure and demanding moves in the 5.9 range, offering a thrilling ascent with spectacular views.
You’ll begin your day at the base of Bukhansan, accompanied by an experienced guide familiar with every hold and anchor of the peak. Whether you're looking to break into trad climbing or push your limits in a legendary setting, this climb offers both structure and adventure. Join us for an unforgettable day above the city — where granite meets sky and grit meets grace!
