Choquequirao, which translates to "Cradle of Gold," is an archaeological site that, like Machu Picchu, was not found by the Spaniards. It is a pristine and enchanting location, surrounded by waterfalls and mountains. Its beauty, architecture, and natural setting often draw comparisons to Machu Picchu.

The tour begins in the city of Cusco, where our team will collect you from your hotel and transport you privately to Cachora, the starting point of the hike. The first day involves a gentle ascent through small Andean villages along the Apurimac Canyon. In the following days, we will traverse the canyon to reach Choquequirao, the lost city of the Incas, which is remarkably well-preserved and awaits exploration.

We pick you up from your hotel around 6:00 am and travel by bus for about 4 hours, to the small village of Cachora where we will meet our horseman and mules, enjoying the dramatic landscapes and a variety of plant and animal life until we reach our campsite at Santa Rosa (1650m)/(5413ft).

In case of booking cancellation the next policy applies. Tourists will receive a full amount they paid for the reservation in case they cancel more than 35 days in advance of the tour start date. In the event of cancellation within the period of 34 to 16 days before the tour start date - they are entitled to receive 50% of the booking amount. Cancelations made within 15 days before the tour starts will not be entitled to a refund.
