The Inca Trail is among the most remarkable hikes globally. Opting for this 5-day journey allows you to take in more of the stunning landscapes, Inca ruins, and diverse flora and fauna, as the hiking distances on this 5-day trek to Machu Picchu are shorter than those of the classic 4-day Inca Trail.

Route details
Today we will pick you up from your hotel and we will drive for about two hours through the Sacred Valley until Ollantaytambo.
In Ollantaytambo, we will make a stop for breakfast (first breakfast is not included in your tour package). After enjoying this magnificent town we will continue our drive for 1 hour to Piscacucho KM 82 (2,700 m/ 8,856 ft), which is the starting point of the hike to Machu Picchu!
Once in Piscacucho, we will meet our porters who will be ready packing all the necessary equipment for our 5 days adventure.
At the time that everybody is ready, we will walk to the control where will have to show our passports before entering this sacred Inca Trail Path.
This day our hike is easy and almost flat in order to adapt to the hike. Along the way, we will have a chance to stop in Llactapata which is a beautiful Inca site with terracing and temples. Our tour guide will explain all the history that surrounds this magnificent place.
After exploring we will continue to Tarayoc which will be our site for lunch approx 1:00 pm.
After enjoying lunch we will continue our easy walk to Wayllabamba where we will have our first night.
