Fairy Meadows, known locally as Joot, is a grassland near Nanga Parbat's base camp in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. The 5-day Fairy Meadows Trek includes a scenic drive along the Indus River, a short hike, stunning views of Nanga Parbat (8126m), and clear starry skies.
The trek begins with a jeep ride from Raikot Bridge to Tatu Village, with Chilas as the first stop. There are three routes to Chilas: the scenic Naran-Kaghan route (10-12 hours), the Karakoram Highway (14-16 hours), or a one-hour flight from Islamabad to Gilgit followed by a 2-3 hour drive.
The ideal time for this trek is April to September, offering lush meadows and snow-capped mountains. It's suitable for healthy beginners, featuring an adventurous jeep track that local drivers navigate with ease.
