Karakoram Heights: Rush Lake and K2 View Trek

We will catch a morning flight to Gilgit, where your guide will meet you at the airport.

We will go on an exciting road trip to Hunza Valley via the Karakoram Highway, with a stop at the Rakaposhi viewpoint for stunning views of Rakaposhi.

Afterward, you'll be transferred to your hotel in Hunza, giving you some free time to relax and take in the breathtaking scenery of Central Hunza. Please note that the flight to Gilgit depends on weather conditions; if it gets canceled, we will arrange for a road trip on the same day.

This day in Hunza Valley is set aside as a contingency for any flight cancellations.

You’ll have the morning to explore the area, where you can visit historic forts or learn about the local culture.

In the afternoon, we will hike to the Queen Elizabeth Viewpoint to help with acclimatization and enjoy a panoramic view of the valley and surrounding mountain ranges.

Afterward, we’ll return to Karimabad, and you’ll have free time in the evening to wander the tourist street. Our team will be busy preparing trekking equipment and tents for the upcoming trek, and you can ask for assistance in purchasing any necessary gear from local shops in Hunza.

You’ll spend the night in Hunza.

We will travel to Hoper Valley in a local vehicle for about an hour.

From there, we will begin our trek through Barpu Glacier to Bericho Kor. This day’s hike is challenging but incredibly rewarding, as you'll be able to witness the majestic mountain ranges and glaciers along the way.

Overnight will be spent at camps, at an altitude of 3300 meters, covering a distance of 6 hours.

Hike up to Chidin Harai (4 hours) and then continue with a gentle ascent to Rush Lake, which is at an elevation of 4694 meters. Enjoy some free time for photography and exploration in the area.

If the weather is favorable, you can also head to the K2 viewpoint from Rush Lake to see K2.

Overnight camping will be at either Bericho Kor (3300m) or Chidin Haraw (4300m).

This is an additional free service offered by our company. On this day, we will be traveling further south to the Spantik and Malabuting Viewpoints.

Phai Phari is a picturesque green meadow that resembles a dreamland, showcasing the breathtaking beauty of nature. The pasture features vibrant green fields, flowing water channels, shepherds' dens, and stunning views of the impressive Spantik Malabuting and the surrounding mountain range.

Accommodations in Phai Phari include camping at an altitude of 3600 meters, with a journey time of 6 hours.

On this day, we will hike back to Hoper Valley from Phai Phari. The journey involves descending from Phai Phari to Hoper Valley. Although it will be a lengthy trek, it will be less exhausting as we will be going downhill through meadows.

We aim to arrive in Hoper by the evening, where we will transfer to a vehicle for our journey to Karimabad.

After reaching Karimabad, we will check into the hotel for an overnight stay in Hunza.

Today marks the last day in the breathtaking region of Hunza, a place that has captivated our hearts with its stunning landscapes and rich culture.

We should take some time to explore the local sights.

In the late afternoon, we will depart for Gilgit, where we will spend the night. The beauty of this region is sure to leave a lasting impression on us.

After checking out from the hotel, we will transfer to Gilgit Airport for our flight to Islamabad.

Upon arrival, we will visit the stunning Faisal Mosque, a symbol of modern Islamic architecture, followed by a trip to the Pakistan Monument, which represents the country's rich history and culture.

We will also explore the Lok Virsa Museum, where you can immerse yourself in the diverse heritage of Pakistan.

After a day filled with exploration, we will transfer to our hotel in Islamabad. Following a delightful dinner, you'll be dropped off at the hotel for an overnight stay, allowing you to rest and recharge for the adventures that lie ahead.
